How Palace will lineup against Arsenal

Eagles boss Patrick Vieira is missing some key players due to the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon but has talked talked up the importance of the fixture, viewing it as a chance to build further momentum amid what has been a promising first season thus far.

Sadly for the Frenchman, both James Tomkins and James McArthur continue to miss out, although there has been some good news in that Nathan Ferguson will be part of the squad who travel at least as he builds up to a long-awaited debut.

Elsewhere, Vieira has confirmed he is “hopeful” that goalkeeper Vicente Guaita will be able for selection.

Wilfried Zaha, Jordan Ayew and Cheikhou Kouyate are all at AFCON, which should allow the likes of Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze to continue to stake their respective starting claims.

Goalkeeper Vicente Guaita faces a late fitness test, meanwhile.

Crystal Palace predicted XI: Guaita, Ward, Andersen, Guehi, Mitchell, Hughes, Schlupp, Gallagher, Eze, Olise, Mateta

Kick-off: 8pm GMT, Friday January 14 2022
