Where does Tyson Fury’s win leave the world heavyweight scene?

Former super-middleweight titleholder Chris Eubank Jnr will finally return to the ring tonight against Wanik Awdijan at Newcastle’s Utilita Arena

Eubank’s return comes two weeks after his scheduled fight against Anatoli Muratov was cancelled on the day of the fight, with Muratov failing a medical.

Muratov was filling in on short notice for Eubank’s original opponent Sven Elbir, who tested positive for Covid-19.

Also on tonight’s card, Hughie Fury – cousin of WBC champion Tyson – hopes to earn another heavyweight title shot when he meets Christian Hammer in the main event.

And undefeated WBO female middleweight titleholder Savannah Marshall defends her belt against Lolita Muzeya.

Here’s everything you need to know about tonight’s fights…

What time are the fights on?

Coverage of the fights starts at 7:30pm on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Arena.

Eubank: “I’m disappointed in this man here because he had so much to say online. So much heat and energy was coming off his social media over the last few weeks.

“After seeing the things you said? I have a reason to terrorise you. I hope you understand the position you have put yourself in.

“Now I’m looking over at a guy who hasn’t got the same fire. This is your shot kid. Say what you’ve got to say, because you’ve got a lot to say on social media.”

Awdijan: “As soon as I got the call to fight Chris Eubank, I absolutely did not hesitate to say yes. It’s my opportunity to show what I can. I know Chris very well, I was attending one of his fights in Stuttgart.

“I’ve seen his fights and I’m pretty sure I will surprise everyone in attendance at the arena on Saturday. Everyone is beatable, even him. He’s a human, like me. He has two losses, too.”
