In Lyubertsy, the police arrested suspects of making and selling counterfeit money. This was announced on Tuesday, July 26, by the official representative of the Russian Interior Ministry, Irina Volk.
According to her, in one of the stores on Oktyabrsky Prospekt in the city of Lyubertsy, the customer paid with a counterfeit two thousand ruble bill. The examination carried out showed that the bill is fake.
Police soon arrested four suspects. They turned out to be three men and a woman who were members of the group and who had previously been arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking.
“According to the available information, the attackers bought paint, a special film and made counterfeit bills with a face value of two thousand rubles. Then, in the hidden segment of the Internet, they placed advertisements for the sale of fakes and sold them in the Moscow region through cache bookmarks at a lower than average price, – said Irina Volk.
After the raids, samples of counterfeit money, containers with dye, special aluminum tapes and four printers were found and seized.
For this fact, a criminal case was initiated under the article “Production, storage, transportation or sale of counterfeit money or securities.” With regard to three men, a measure of restraint in the form of detention was chosen, and one woman, a ban on certain actions.
Before this, in the south-west of Moscow, traffic police officers detained a young man with false rights. It is noted that a criminal case has been initiated for this fact under the article “Forgery, production or circulation of forged documents, state awards, stamps, seals or letterheads.”
