Peskov denied Kyiv’s statements about grain theft.

Date: July 6, 2022 3:15 am

Russia did not steal any grain, said the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov. This is how he commented on the words of Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.

Earlier, a Turkish diplomat said that Ankara decided to verify Kyiv’s accusations that Russia was stealing Ukrainian grain and selling it. However, this information was not confirmed, said Cavusoglu.

Vasily Bodnar, the Ukrainian ambassador to Turkey, was the first to announce the sale of allegedly stolen grain, writes the RIA Novosti agency.

On June 20, it became known that Ukrainian nationalists destroyed 70,000 tons of grain in a storage facility located in the port of Mariupol. Militants drove a tank of diesel fuel there, poured it on wheat and corn, and then set it on fire.
